MERRICK MAYHEM 9U Drops Game To HOWARD BEACH CARDINALS After Late Score


MERRICK MAYHEM 9U lost the lead late in a 5-4 defeat to HOWARD BEACH CARDINALS on Saturday. The game was tied at four with HOWARD BEACH CARDINALS batting in the top of the sixth when Vincent singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.


In the first inning, HOWARD BEACH CARDINALS got their offense started when Charlie hit a solo homer. In the top of the fifth inning, HOWARD BEACH CARDINALS tied things up at four when Kevin drew a walk, scoring one run.


Demitri earned the win for HOWARD BEACH CARDINALS. He allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one.


HAYDEN T took the loss for MERRICK MAYHEM 9U. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out two. ETHAN M started the game for MERRICK MAYHEM 9U. He allowed five hits and four runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven Steve started the game for HOWARD BEACH CARDINALS. He allowed four hits and four runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one.


ANTHONY P, SPENCER B, BRADY K, ETHAN, and KURT R each collected one hit to lead MERRICK MAYHEM 9U. MERRICK MAYHEM 9U was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
