MERRICK MAYHEM 9U Clinches Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat MERRICK BELLMORE WARRIORS


MERRICK MAYHEM 9U took the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over MERRICK BELLMORE WARRIORS on Thursday. The game was tied at four with MERRICK MAYHEM 9U batting in the top of the seventh when TOMMY T drew a walk, scoring one run.


MERRICK MAYHEM 9U opened up scoring in the first inning. HAYDEN T hit a solo homer.


In the bottom of the sixth inning, MERRICK BELLMORE WARRIORS tied things up at four. Baslesterie drove in two when he tripled.


SPENCER B pitched MERRICK MAYHEM 9U to victory. He went one-third of an inning, allowing zero runs on one hit. KURT R threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. KURTrecorded the last three outs to earn the save for MERRICK MAYHEM 9U.


Stamoulis took the loss for MERRICK BELLMORE WARRIORS. He allowed one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out five.


ETHAN M started the game for MERRICK MAYHEM 9U. He went five and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out seven Baslesterie started the game for MERRICK BELLMORE WARRIORS. He allowed three hits and one run over two innings, striking out four and walking one.


MERRICK MAYHEM 9U hit one home run on the day. HAYDEN went for the long ball in the first inning. ANTHONY P, SPENCER, ETHAN, HUDSON S, KURT, and HAYDEN each managed one hit to lead MERRICK MAYHEM 9U. MERRICK MAYHEM 9U tore up the base paths, as five players stole at least two bases. HUDSON led the way with three. MERRICK MAYHEM 9Udidn't commit a single error in the field. BEN G had the most chances in the field with seven.


MERRICK BELLMORE WARRIORS stole nine bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Florio led the way with three.
