MERRICK MAYHEM 8U Claims Lead In Fourth Inning To Defeat Franklin Square Lightning



MERRICK MAYHEM 8U stole the lead late and defeated Franklin Square Lightning 12-7 on Sunday. The game was tied at seven with MERRICK MAYHEM 8U batting in the bottom of the fourth when Tommy T grounded out, scoring one run. MERRICK MAYHEM 8U earned the victory despite allowing Franklin Square Lightning to score four runs in the first inning. Sal, Aaron, and Paul all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Franklin Square Lightning got things started in the first inning. Sal drove in one when he singled. SPENCER B led things off on the mound for MERRICK MAYHEM 8U. He surrendered four runs on four hits over one and one-third innings, striking out four. Aaron was on the hill for Franklin Square Lightning. He surrendered seven runs on eight hits over three innings, striking out six. Stefano threw one-third of an inning in relief. MERRICK MAYHEM 8U collected 12 hits. ETHAN M, RYAN S, BRADY K, and HUNTER O all managed multiple hits for MERRICK MAYHEM 8U. ETHAN led MERRICK MAYHEM 8U with three hits in three at bats.
