Late Score Costs Merrick Mayhem 9U Against Nassau Bombers


Mayhem Mayhem 9U lost the lead late in a 9-6 defeat to Nassau Bombers on Thursday. The game was tied at six with Nassau Bombers batting in the bottom of the fourth when Shane M singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Despite the loss, Mayhem Mayhem 9U did collect five hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Nassau Bombers had seven hits on the way to victory.


In the first inning, Mayhem Mayhem 9U got their offense started when Mayhem Mayhem 9Uscored on a stolen base during HUDSON S's at bat. Then HUDSON singled.

In the top of the third inning, Mayhem Mayhem 9U tied things up at six. Mayhem Mayhem 9U scored one run on a stolen base.


Nassau Bombers took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning.
